Lights, Camera, Action for the Dogs TV

Media Release: GRNSW

New and topical video content dedicated only to greyhound racing has arrived after Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) today launched The Dogs TV.

Greyhound enthusiasts will be kept entertained and informed through a variety of content to be screened at www.thedogstv.com – a specialist portal designed to host The Dogs TV.

Visitors will have the ability to see industry experts debate greyhound racing’s hot topics in The Stir Up, hear the thoughts of greyhound personalities courtesy of In The Spotlight, watch a preview of the weekend’s major race meetings as well as view trainer and breeder profiles and round-ups of selected feature races and Country Challenge events.

It’s all available at the click of a button and gives punters an excellent opportunity to access exclusive greyhound racing previews and tips before having a bet at Ladbrokes.com.au.

“This is an exciting development for the industry and we are confident with video content uploaded to The Dogs TV regularly, we can provide the ultimate one-stop shop for greyhound enthusiasts,” said GRNSW Chief Executive Brent Hogan.

“The first of our programs was produced to coincide with the Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg, but in the subsequent months we have worked very hard on improvements including providing The Dogs TV with its own dedicated website.

“Following on from the huge success of the race replays which are now well and truly in operation for all TAB tracks, we are listening to our punters and members by adding online video content, the popularity of which seems to be increasing exponentially.

“The videos will cover all aspects of greyhound racing and the flexibility of the internet means these can be watched at the viewer’s leisure.”

Mr Hogan said the launch of The Dogs TV is an opportunity for greyhound fans to provide feedback on what they would like to see.

The Dogs TV is a project which fits squarely within the framework of the Board’s recently released Strategic Plan and we would like input from all stakeholders.

“We are encouraging the public to tell us who and what they would like to see on The Dogs TV and we will only be too happy to try and meet their wishes.”
