Jedd Lion clocked a sensational 29.85 win over the 520m to secure the $50 000 to-the-winner prize for his connections, blitzing his winning time in the semis of 30.17 seconds.
The fastest qualifier from the heats and odds-on favourite going into the race at $1.80, Puddy Muddles, finished fourth.
