Australia Prepares For Macro Meats Crown Classic

The country’s best female greyhounds will gather at Sandown Park on Thursday night for the heats of the $72,500 Group 1 Macro Meats Crown Classic.

The event will feature Group 1 Sky Racing Topgun champion Cindeen Shelby and defending champion of the Crown Classic, Queen Lauryn.

After recently taking out the Schweppes All Stars Sprint, Queen Lauryn will return to the Lightwood Road circuit where she has won three races and ran second three times out of six starts.

Group 1 Golden Easter Egg winner, Dana Beatrice will make her debut at Sandown Park with seven interstate bitches making the journey to the track including Miss Slick, Topline Doovee, Joanne Monelli, Flying Shambi, Best Of Times, Brislane and Gnarraloo.

Local champion, Boozeroo will also feature in the event after winning the Group 1 Hawkins Media Laurels.

The Crown Classic is one of the racing highlights of the year and will features some of the greatest bitches this country has ever seen.

The boxdraw will be conducted trackside after the final race on Thursday 29 November and the final run will take place on Thursday 5 November.
